Cambridge AS Level Mathematics
The Cambridge AS Level Mathematics curriculum (syllabus 9709) for Grade 11 is a one-year course that forms the first half of the full A Level qualification, building essential mathematical knowledge and developing problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills for further study or employment . Students follow one of three possible routes: Pure Mathematics only (Papers 1 and 2), Pure Mathematics and Mechanics (Papers 1 and 4), or Pure Mathematics and Probability & Statistics (Papers 1 and 5), with all routes sharing the compulsory Pure Mathematics 1 (Paper 1) paper covering quadratics, functions, coordinate geometry, circular measure, trigonometry, series, differentiation, and integration.
