Cambridge A Level Additonal Mathematics
The Cambridge A Level Grade 12 Further Mathematics curriculum (syllabus 9231) is designed for high-ability learners who have achieved or are likely to achieve top grades in A Level Mathematics and wish to study mathematics in greater depth. It covers advanced topics across four compulsory modules—Further Pure Mathematics 1 (roots of polynomial equations, rational functions, matrices, polar coordinates, vectors, proof by induction), Further Pure Mathematics 2(hyperbolic functions, matrices, differentiation, integration, complex numbers, differential equations), Further Mechanics(projectiles, equilibrium of rigid bodies, circular motion, Hooke's law, momentum), and Further Statistics (continuous random variables, inferential statistics, chi-squared tests, non-parametric tests, probability generating functions)—with all four modules assessed through externally examined papers leading to the full A Level qualification.
