Cambridge GCSE Biology
The Cambridge GCSE Biology curriculum for Grades 10-11 (syllabus 0610/0970) is organized into 21 core topics covering characteristics of living organisms, cell biology, biological molecules, enzymes, nutrition, transport systems, diseases and immunity, respiration, coordination and response, reproduction, inheritance, variation, ecology, and biotechnology . The assessment structure offers Core (grades C-G) and Extended (grades A*-E) pathways, with all students completing three papers: a multiple choice paper (30%), a theory paper (50%), and either a practical test or alternative to practical paper (20%) that evaluates experimental skills and scientific enquiry.
