Cambridge GCSE Chemistry
The Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry curriculum for Grades 10-11 (syllabus 0620) develops learners' understanding of key chemical concepts and principles across 12 core topics including the particulate nature of matter, atomic structure and bonding, stoichiometry, electrochemistry, chemical energetics, chemical reactions, acids and bases, the Periodic Table, metals, organic chemistry, and environmental chemistry . The curriculum is assessed through three compulsory papers with a choice between Core (grades C-G) and Extended (grades A*-E) pathways, requiring candidates to complete either Paper 1 or 2 (multiple choice), either Paper 3 or 4 (theory), and either Paper 5 (practical test) or Paper 6 (alternative to practical), with the Extended pathway covering additional supplement content for higher achievement.
