Grade 10 IEB Life Sciences

The IEB Grade 10 Life Sciences curriculum for the FET Phase is organised across four main strands: Environmental Studies (biosphere to ecosystems, biomes, energy flow, nutrient cycles), Diversity, Change and Continuity (history of life and biodiversity, classification systems), Life at the Molecular, Cellular and Tissue Level, and Life Processes in Plants and Animals . It aims to develop scientific inquiry skills by integrating practical investigations and case studies, with learners exploring topics such as biomes, ecosystems, energy flow, nutrient cycles, classification systems, cellular structures, and plant and animal tissues while building a strong foundation for success in Grades 11 and 12.
