Grade 10 IEB Physical Sciences
The IEB Grade 10 Physical Sciences curriculum for the FET Phase is divided into Physics and Chemistry, covering prescribed topics including Kinematics (motion in one dimension), Newton's Laws, Momentum and Energy, Electric Circuits, Electrodynamics, Photons and Electrons for Physics, and Quantitative Chemistry, Chemical Bonding, Energy Changes, Reaction Rates, Chemical Equilibrium, Acids and Bases, Electrochemistry, and Organic Chemistry for Chemistry . The final assessment consists of two three-hour papers (Paper I: Physics, 200 marks scaled to 150; Paper II: Chemistry, 200 marks scaled to 150), with School-Based Assessment contributing 100 marks, and questions are weighted across cognitive levels (15% recall, 35-40% comprehension/routine, 40% application/analysis, and 10% synthesis/evaluation) to assess both conceptual knowledge and problem-solving skills.
