Grade 11 IEB Economics
The IEB Grade 11 Economics curriculum for the FET Phase is divided into Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, covering topics including market dynamics (perfect and imperfect competition), the theory of production and costs, price elasticity, the circular flow model, business cycles, public sector economics, labor markets, and contemporary economic issues such as globalization and environmental sustainability . It develops learners' ability to apply economic principles to real-world South African contexts, interpret data, analyze policies, and evaluate economic phenomena through topics including factors of production, economic systems, economic growth and development, money and banking, and population and labor force dynamics.
