Accounting

The Cambridge GCSE Accounting curriculum for Grades 10-11 (syllabuses 0452/0985) provides students with a sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts, covering topics such as double-entry bookkeeping, business documents, books of prime entry, verification of accounting records through trial balances and bank reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and non-trading organizations . The curriculum is assessed through two externally examined papers: a 1 hour 15 minute multiple choice paper (contributing 30% of the final grade) and a 1 hour 45 minute structured written paper (contributing 70%), with both papers covering the entire syllabus content and calculators permitted throughout.
