Cambridge GCSE English
The Cambridge IGCSE English curriculum for Grades 10-11 offers two primary pathways: First Language English (syllabuses 0500/0990) for learners whose first language is English, and English as a Second Language for those learning English as an additional language . The First Language English curriculum develops skills in reading comprehension, critical analysis of texts from the 20th and 21st centuries, and writing with clarity and imagination across various text types including descriptive, narrative, discursive, and argumentative pieces, with assessment through two written papers (Paper 1: Reading and Paper 2: Writing) and an optional Speaking and Listening endorsement.
