Hello! I'm Wijon, a 23-year-old with two degrees under my belt. I earned my undergraduate degree at Stellenbosch University. I studied BA Humanities for three years, focusing on Political Science, Philosophy, and Psychology. Last year, I completed my university studies with a Bachelor of Social Science Honors in Applied Psychology at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). I am currently applying to Master's programs in Clinical, Counseling, and Educational Psychology. Admissions can be quite competitive, so I’m prepared to wait and still contribute to helping out in any way I can. I work at two facilities: a private psychiatric care facility and a substance abuse treatment center. There, I help with administrative tasks and case management, and I also facilitate group therapy sessions, including psychoeducation classes. Recently, I discovered my passion for teaching and realized I have a knack for simplifying complex information into clear, understandable terms. I truly believe that growth and well-being start with education. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and patient space where I can support students who need assistance. Outside of work, I’m a relaxed, passionate, and open person, with an empathetic, compassionate, and disciplined nature. I myself have been tutored in the past, and now I want to provide that space for others. I can help with English, Business Studies, Psychology, and Afrikaans. Hope to hear from you soon.
